When hiking, you’ve got to be in decent shape. When you add camping to the mix, getting around is more of a struggle. That’s why the right backpacking tents are important.

If you purchase one that’s too heavy, you’re going to be slowed down quite significantly, and you’re going to tire long before you find the best spot to camp.

That implies a back-packing tent must be as light as practicable but it still need to be a good one.

This can make selecting a little hard. There are backpacking tents that are made from awfully light materials that may fold up into a compact state to go into the backpack or stick to it in some form pretty simply.
